My interest in computation started with the usage of medical informatics while I was studying medicine in Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Over the years, this intrigued me to try to understand how the most sophisticated computational organ works. My interest is mainly focused on visual system, from low-level processing particularly color vision (my PhD thesis in McGill University)  to more processed levels such as visual attention, visual memory, and visual awareness. Currently, I am focused on the application of virtual reality as a powerful tool to assess human cognitive functions.
